DAB radio

A friend of mine has a 2010 XS with what I think should be a DAB radio but when you push the FM/DAB button on the radio it just toggles between the two FM stations any ideas why the DAB does not work? Big Cry

Don't think in 2010 DAB was standard on the XS, it became standard on the HSE for MY11.

Digital on the button refers to digital tuning and not to DAB. DAB was not a standard fit on 2010 XS or 2011 XS for that matter.

It would say DAB on the display when you turn the radio on if it has DAB.


Does it really say DAB, not Digital Question

I've never seen a button that says FM DAB. All the ones I've seen whether fitted with DAB or not say FM Digital.
I've just looked at a 2010 Owners Manual and it shows an FM Digital button for both standard audio and DAB audio.

As AD said if you've got DAB when you cycle through the FM Digital button you'll got FM1, FM2, DAB 1, DAB2 etc.

DAB is only fitted to HSE models or as an option to others. The head unit is the same though, just has a different module fitted. Cost of the DAB module is far too high so not worth the effort, not that I know how to fit it anyway. SD4 Auto 2012 GS Stornoway Grey.

My last FL2 was a 2012 GS and it had DAB as standard. If your car has DAB? it will have the little blimp aerial on the roof.

WRONG!

The "little blimp aerial" is for the Sat nav. The DAB aerial is in the "other" rear side window. I do not know which is which although I am sure someone will know. Wink 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)
