Additional Alarm Led

Hi I'm looking to add another alarm led to the dash so this can be seen from the front.
This will be useful to me so I can see if the alarm is set at night.
I have seen a thread where someone has just wired in a flashing led but this is no good for me as I need it to show the alarm is set.

Does anyone know where I can take a alarm live feed from?

The only place I can think of is maybe the alarm sensor in the headling.

Can anyone help?

May be I can take a permanent live feed.
then if the sensor has a switched earth when the alarm is set.

can anyone tell me what the 3 wires are on the sensor ?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram or know what the alarm sensor on the headliners wires are?

We are not ignoring you, it's just that iirc no one has done this, they have been happy just to have the normal LED in the display Question

There are 3 wires to the ceiling ultrasonic module.
One permanent 12V feed, one ground and one digital communication.
In this context, neither of them is useful for you...

Does anyone know where I can get a live feed from when the doors are locked or the alarm is set?

Easier to give the car a good shake at night until the alarm goes off, then you know you have it set.

Surely you know the alarm is set when you walk away from the car? The car is going to have to parked fairly close to see this 'new' led - perhaps close enough to blip the remote to confirm anyway..?

If you really 'need' this additional reminder maybe you could wire an additional led in series with the original - never seen the rear of the binnacle so don't know how accessible the led would be..

As a first effort I would try leaving a small mirror on top of the steering wheel cowl and see if that reflects the led upwards - that might be enough at night?

Yes the car is parked away from my home.
So I need to be able to look out of the window and see the alarm is set as the kids have a habit of messing about with them.
What are the two wires which go to the bonnet switch?
Are these only active when the alarm is on?
