i saw that this morning, how can they be so stupid, know criminals, with pasted experience of absconding and they let them out again

Its becoming a joke and i guess more and more are going to come to light

I'm waiting for the explosion of justified outrage from the populus.

I understand the need to rehabilitate & condition cons for life outside the nick. Everyone benefits from that. What is hard to understand is this collection of facts:
1. The scum featured in this topic are repeat violent offendors, murderers
2. They are sentenced to tens of years, maybe "life" for their crimes
3. They are aided to re-integrate into society
4. They repeatedly abuse that lenience and off, often committing other crimes
5. Once absconded, the public are advised not to approach them because they are dangerous.

Why the are known dangerous people allowed to abuse our trust again and again?
Why shouldn't we assume they will always remain a danger and liable to abscond?
Why shouldn't we lock them up indefinitely to reward them for their chosen life of crime & abuse of privilege?
