just called LR they said my car is low mileage and they did service before they sold it to me 6Months ago..therefore sometime the warning comes on early, but service was done to cover me to 45000 miles.. so not to worry about it... they will reset OIL clock whenservice is done later in the year.

Not sure if that's the best way forward. Reading other threads it depends our many regens have been done and the dilution of diesel in the oil.

The Oil Service Due warning message comes on when the oil has been diluted as a result of the number of DPF regeneration cycles that have taken place. While it will usually come on around the same time as the Service Due message it doesn't always. While it could easily be an oversight by the service tech in not resetting the timer it could also be that the oil has been degraded causing the warning to appear. If it were my vehicle I'd get it checked properly rather than just accept the Dealers word for it.

Ok, now i'm seriously worried.
They had put my mind at rest.
We get them all the time she said, perfectly normal, dont worry.

Thank you ad / rchrd appreciate the comments and really I should practice due dilligence and leave the respoinsibility to the dealer formy vehicle.

Can I demand they remove the warning or am I requesting them to actually do the OIL service which i have to pay for?

thanks
