Looks like the FL2 did a good job, a lesser vehicle might have been flattened Whistle Glad you're okay though. Was GS TD4 Auto, Privacy, Santorini with Tundra & Alpaca, Cold Climate Pack. Traded for Discovery Sport HSE Auto.

Oh my god....................................

As most people have said, glad you are ok.

I'm sure this is far from your mind at the moment but did you know you need to act fast regarding your Cherished Number Plate. Once the Insurance Co agree a settlement the car and the number plate belong to them. That means you loose it. You need to log it with them and get the DVLA forms moving quickly.

If you search the web for "Cherished plate insurance" there are several links to comments on this subject.
I used to insure my plate but this has become too expensive now.

I'm sure you've got this covered but thought I would flag it with you first.

Next time you see the car, can I have the Bumper off the HGV that has deposited itself in your boot!!

Get well soon Thumbs Up

Shar, I was shocked to read your post, and see the photo of your car. I have seen this Rimini-red of yours so many times in so many posts, -and then to see it smashed. I felt sad. Your Rimini-red was one of the family.....

Glad you are ok. A 40 ton vehicle smashed into you from behind? Do you know at what speed it smashed into you? Do you know more about what happened?

I was impressed the FL2 was not more smashed up than that.

PS. Get a Rimini-red the next time too. It is a great color. 2008 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Automatic, Caspian Blue, Alpaca, Moon roof, Exclusive pack.

Good that you are OK.

Does the FL2 has a system from protection from whiplash injuries? Like Mercedes NECK-PRO or Volvo WHIPS? It would protect eveen better...

Glad to hear your OK.

Be careful when dealing with your insurance company. Keep up any medical treatment because you'll feel fine for the first few days after the accident then the pain returns.
