Retrofitting Centre Console HUD/SAt Nav System

I was wondering what system people recommend to install in the centre console space?
what do land rover use to try and keep it as genuine as possible?

Cheers

Tomtom Start 60, amongst others. Plenty of info here - search and you shall find.

Garmin Nuvi 2797 with 7" screen is a good fit.

Some (not me) have gone down the route of installing a 7" tablet rather than a dedicated satnav, allowing them to do other things such as add an OBDII adapter and run Torque, playback video, etc. A tablet called, coincidentally, the Freelander has been used by a few, and there are threads here describing installs.

I've been thinking of doing a tablet install but for me it would have to be an iOS device.

The current iPad mini is too big for the cubby opening but I'm watching the forthcoming iPhone 6 with interest - it's rumoured there will be two sizes; one at 4.7" and one at 5.4" (I think) - the larger would be a neat fit and would connect directly to the iPod / USB connection kit, allowing on screen music selection, tomtom and a lot more besides...
