I give it 5 years CG. I can hear the conversation now.

Mrs CG: We need to spend more quality time with Finn and get away from it all. But how can we do it cheaply.
CG: Why don't we buy a caravan

Alfa Romeo GT.
Fancied something a little more suited to the winter weather up here and the crap dealer service (as they are renowned for) didn't help either!

In all my courting days in the back seat of a Mini 1275GT and in the reclining seats of a Ford Capri I only had one broken back spring Laughing , but that much later when the Capri was due for retirement Laughing
The BMW didnt get anything like the bashing the above two got due to my now more adult age (no comments please CG), so it is very supprising that BMW has had so much problem with the 3-series springs. My Son now has a 330i coupe, so it will be interesting to see he experiances the same spring failures as I have had. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Taking them home is a modern phenomonen or when your not being "naughty" Wink . In those days with little cash, the car was the only alternative, especially when there was somebody already at home Shocked

first YORKSHIREMAN:
I was happier then and I had nothin'. We used to live in this tiny old house with great big holes in the roof.
second YORKSHIREMAN:
House! You were lucky to live in a house! We used to live in one room, all twenty-six of us, no furniture, 'alf the floor was missing, and we were all 'uddled together in one corner for fear of falling.
third YORKSHIREMAN:
Eh, you were lucky to have a room! We used to have to live in t' corridor!
forth YORKSHIREMAN:
Oh, we used to dream of livin' in a corridor! Would ha' been a palace to us. We used to live in an old water tank on a rubbish tip. We got woke up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped all over us! House? Huh At work
