Am I the only one fed up with hearing the news about Michael Wheatley and having this scumbag invariably 'bigged-up' on EVERY report by being announced as "Michael Wheatley, the Skull Cracker"?
Why can't they just say "The career criminal Michael Wheatley has escaped. Wheatley is on the run..." etc rather than giving him the undoubted frisson at being described as 'Skull Cracker' by august news organisations...

BTW Why the is a violent criminal, with an established history of running away and committing violent crime whilst on the run, or on licenced release, allowed the luxury of an open prison & the chance to walk out?

I don't think the nickname 'Skull Cracker' is doing him any favours. The other joke about this guy is his '13 life sentences' of which he had to serve at least 8 years. wtf???? They really should drop the term life sentence as its completely inaccurate.

I would hope that the unemployment rate in Kent will be going up by at least 1 very shortly a a result of this.

Agree the media has sensationalised him by calling him that, by doing that it has lifted 'him' into the likes of the rogues gallery. Criminals should have less notoriety media coverage, not more.
