My Freelander is due for its MOT, and this is the first time I've put one through an MOT.

Can anyone recommend a good place to take it in the Wakefield area of West Yorkshire.

Although I would be willing to travel a bit further for a decent place.

Get mine done at Wakefield diesel centre, good set of lads

Our council do not do any repairs and they are very keen as they cannot be seen to be doing anything wrong.

I could well be wrong here so I'm sure somebody can answer this...... I thought council testing places didn't do repairs. If a car fails and the old MOT ticket hasn't expired, can the vehicle still be driven? OR as the system is computerised now, once a car fails an MOT, if the car is driven away to do repairs elsewhere can you be prosecuted for driving a car without a valid MOT??
