I have damaged the lower drivers fog lamp on my 2013 FL2
I am totaly baffled as to how to get at it, please help.

Look around the Fog Light surround, you will see a three to four millimetre gap, (where the surround touches the Fog Light glass) insert a flat blade screwdriver and just lever the surround out, you will then see four Phillips Head screws, undo the screws and remove the light

Exactly as above, but no offense, you could RTFM...
Page 150 for the 2012 version of the manual.

It has been changed on my 2013 XS model; the surround is all one piece and nothing in the book about it.

Alex, the mind boggles! There are too many versions of the handbook - my 2009 version has the info on page 56!

Thats something that is quite common in Aus.
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?

I think the face lifted MY2010 on cars all have the same surround for the fog light, just that for MY2013 on they have a painted silver ring on the front as well.

Took mine out to upgrade the bulbs and you do have to pull quite hard to get them out. I nearly gave up. 2016 BMW X3 30d SE in red
