Annoying Squeak/Chirp From Back Of Car

Hi all

I have an annoying squeak/chirp which is starting to really get on my nerves coming from the back area of our FL2 Evil or Very Mad . It usually occurs whenever going over a bump or some slightly rough ground BUT appears to only be evident when someone is sitting in the rear seats mainly the one behind the front passenger. When there is no-one in the back it doesn't happen.
I have tried to find where the noise comes from but am unable to track it down. Censored
I just wondered if anyone had had anything similar before I go to try to explain it to the local dealers.

Apart from that "WHAT A CAR!" Very Happy

Thanks in advance

John

I have the same problem Evil or Very Mad

It seems to come and go - I first noticed it when I had the seats down then put them back up Confused

Have you tried dropping the seats and banging them back firmly to see if it goes Question

Yes I've tried that and the problem is still there, we will be taking a long trip in the car in a few weeks and I know it will drive me round the bend if it's not sorted by then Laughing

It would drive me mad too on a long trip Evil or Very Mad

I am convinced it is related to the seat - I would go to your dealer and try to get it sorted. Thumbs Up

I have the same problem and traced it to the seatbelt bracket squeaking against its mounting when the nearside rear seatbelt is in use.

I had this last year.
It was where the seatbelt clunk click bit mounts down behind the seat cushion. Lifted up the cushion and sprayed some silicon lubricant on the mounting and hey presto the noise went away.................wonder if it would work on the Mrs???????????
