Help! Tow bar electrics Freelander 2 July 2010

Hi Guys and HELP. I bought a used wiring kit from Ebay but feel sure there is a bracket missing. Also I have the wiring instructions for a 13 pin socket whilst the kit is a twin 7 pin set up. Can someone take a look at these pictures and let me know if this is the correct bracket and does anyone have the wiring diagram please.

The location.

The Bracket looks way too big.

Maybe upright.

If I remember correctly the bracket and modual go behind the left hand side panel (behind the 12V socket) the rest should just plug in + fuses and programing .

Seagull is correct. And yes it looks a crazy plate but bearing in mind its hidden away who cares.
.
Expect to break trim clips as you lift away the side panel. You can lift away just the rearmost edge and install the panel and module; to struggle for 5 minutes and squeeze your arms thro the tight gap is quicker than doing a full dismantle.
.
Have fun!!
.
Kind regards from Fred

You might struggle though, for the last few weeks whenever I have been on, you chose what you want to see, then get "unexpected Error"

Thanks for that although it did ask for a subscription - is it LR's own site Laughing

So from the diagram I can see it is the wrong bracket! I need the small bracket shown here>

I think I fitted the large bracket to my 2010 and think that I had to relocate the park sensor module to the new bracket as well as the tow module.
.
May I suggest that you unclip the side panel and do a trial fit?
.
Kind regards from Fred

Hi Fred

Nice to meet you. I was just going on the instructions here

That is the small plate however...

as soon as it stops (if) raining I'll go for a trial fit.
