MY13 Towbar electrics

Just a heads up for those that may not know:

I took my car back to the towbar firm that the dealer used when I purchased the car for its first free warranty check, this included the torquing of the bolts, the electrics etc. When they removed their test rig the reverse sensors did not reactivate and they thought they had a wiring fault but a call to 'Witter' told them that the MY13 cars software is different in that the engine should be switched off before removing the trailer plug otherwise the software will not reset.

Witter also said by just turning on the ignition (engine not running) and pressing the brake pedal will reset to solo driving, but I believe most of us do that anyway with the auto.

The point is, I have wrongly come to rely on my reverse sensors too much, but just be careful if you pull the plug with the engine running there's a remote chance of no 'beep' before hitting the wall. Shocked

England

And another reminder, when it's plugged in, none of the sensors work, no rears as you would expect, but no fronts either. Evil or Very Mad
