towbar

Hi my first post so please be gentle with me Mr. Green I removed a genuine Landrover swan neck towbar from my brother-in-laws 2008 freelander but forgot to take the bracket off that goes forward on the o/s does anyone know how important this plate is and if it is available as a part on its own as I wish to fit it and if possible the electrics to my 2013 XS,thanks in advance.

Maybe another member can give you photos and material sizes.

I don't see any reason why a competent person should not make a copy part as it will only be a mild steel bracket.
.
Taking a different view is there any chance via the dealer that you could locate the new owner and go and fetch the missing part?

Many thanks for reply I thought as much but its wet out there and did not want to get under car,if I could as you suggest get dimensions I would not have a problem making one,as for the 2008 freelander it was sold over a year ago. Smile
