I find I have no problem with mine. However, I do not "turn on" the air con, as I leave the climate control in auto all the time, summer or winter. Just set the temps to that required. In general you will find air con is happier with frequent use. Leave it off for long periods and the seals can dry out, necessitating a regas. Not likely to be an issue with yours though, as it is a 2013 model. 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Just had mine re gassed today, it's lovely and cool. Fella that did mine said the system was full of air. I've had my car for two years, I bought it when it was two years old so probably the first re gas it's had. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Depending on your spec, make sure the AC isn't in Eco mode, I made that mistake and wondered why I wasn't getting any cold air! It's the button underneath the rear screen defrost. |

Even new cars can have problems... Get the gas checked especially for leaks... And no not Kwickfit.... They only do a pressure test.

As well as chilling the air, the aircon also dries it and very unlikely that opening your window will achieve that ! Also, without regular use, the seals in your aircon system will perish and you will lose your gas. In all my cars, the aircon is always permanently on and NEVER had to re-gas yet including on the last car I sold which was 12 years old and still had the original aircon gas in it !!
