Sounds like you need a new door latch, as for locking with the fob 1 press locks the car the second press applies the deadlock function meaning if someone were to break a window they wouldn't be able to open the door by reaching in and pulling the handle.

Thanks Midlandrover. Rather than a new latch is it worth a quick squirt of WD40? Also as it locks the door with a double press of the fob, would it still point to the latch? |

You can try a squirt of WD40, but it's probably the door motor that's failing, it's only a small motor about the size of the motor in a Scalectric. Try a search, there is a thread on stripping out the door, replacing the motor is around £80 iirc. |

There is a very recent thread from a member in Constanta (not Alex) who includes photos of the lock strip and motor clean / repair.

Thank you again Ad. Will strip it down at the weekend, not something I had banked on doing a few weeks after purchase....

I have a 2007 HSE and I can get an iphone 4s to sync. Are you sure that you have enough free space, as the LR system can only accept 5 phones in it's memory

Morning Charlie. When I have tried to connect either of the phones it does not want to play. How do you clear space? Cheers. |

Any other phones already installed, if so delete them and try again. |

Hi Ad, no other phones installed. Just tried again with the HTC One and it finds it but when you push the button to connect it says "Phone failed to connect" instantly. Any ideas?? |

Have you looked on the LR website to see if your HTC One is on the list of approved phones? I just had a quick look but there are many HTC One variants so don't know whether yours is there or not..

Hi Lebouch, The LR website does not specifically show a HTC One for my VIN number, although I have read success stories on this forum for that phone. An iphone 4s should work though...
