How on earth can someone fraudulently procures public money gets to resign from being culture secretary, but not loose her MPs job, nor face a criminal proscecution?

Plus it was found she had fiddled over£40k, but a committee of MPs decided she only had to pay back about 10% of this and we are ignoring her avoidance of CGT and swapping of primary and secondary residence.

Oh, a little overlooked bit of the official report said they discovered that we were paying her parents Council Tax. That was nice of us.

I am fed up with these people and others being treated differently to the rest of us. We live in a corrupt little country that is built on a house of straw.

IMO it all harks back to a historic feudal system headed by the Crown. Get rid of those life suckers too. Perfect opportunity whilst three of them are in NZ just now.

I used to work for a big IT company, I and lots of my colleagues, travelled the world, ran up huge (legitimate) expenses in hotels, hire cars, plane fares etc and it was all administered by a small team of people. The rules were clear and you faced dismissal if you stepped out of line. Why is it so difficult and expensive to sort out an expense system for 600 MPs who travel to and from their constituencies and have an allowance for accommodation?

Second point for those interested in UKIP. They are a single issue party with one recognisable person (Nigel Farage) we don't know what their policies in economics, foreign policy, or in fact on any other issue. Is this a valid basis for voting for someone?

Trouble is, at the moment who is worth voting for? Leaders of all 3 major parties are either muppets, liars or too full of their own agenda (take your pick of any or all 3).

UKIP appear to be a one issue party - an issue that many of us agree with however. Shame their leader seems too full of himself too. I always vote - but for who?

My experience exactly... I worked for a major ( & cash-rich) IT corp...you knew the rules, you couldn't expect to be reimbursed for ANYTHING iffy, certainly nothing without a receipt. Seems the 'rules' for MPs are / were exceedingly lax. And, again I say, this is PUBLIC (ie taxpayer) dosh they're pocketing. Not just this Miller woman, but the bloody pack of them, on all sides...  ...

As regards UKIP, they have had the sense to get themselves elected as MEPs, where the pay and expenses are massive, the controls extremely lax, and most of the time they don't even turn up to vote. Bunch of nutters, but dangerous ones.
