I know this subject has come up a few times, but my FL2 would have originally had a Gen 3 haldex (2008 my). It had a new diff and haldex when I purchased it a couple of months ago, it now has a Gen 4 haldex. On looking at it, they have swapped the control module from the 3 to the 4. As far as I know, it all seems to work, though I am a little concerned as to any future issues that may lay in wait for me from this setup as the place that did it are muppets and couldn't even fix the handbrake.

I'm very handy with the spanners and not frightened of getting stuck into it in any way, but a bit of knowledge would be nice!
