Steering Wheel Removal

Hi all,

Have read through various topics about swapping out controls on the steering wheel.

Each one of them makes reference to the removal of the steering wheel, but not actually how to do it.

I know I have to remove the airbag, and mark up the wheel in relation to the steering shaft, but how (once the airbag is removed) actually disengage the wheel from the steering column shaft?

Is there a big nut to undo? Laughing

Yes, it's between the steering wheel and driver seat... Laughing Laughing Laughing

Now seriously.... Take out the airbag and all will be clear.

Ok!!

Assuming there is a big nut to undo, anyone know what size socket I will need so as to ensure I have the right tools before I start the job?

England

Think its a bolt, not a nut, not a big one as the Torque is 48nm.
