Hi,

Does anyone out there have a FR2 manual that clunks from the gearbox at around 10mph when they slow down?

The garage have told me that it is the reverse gear activating solenoid kicking in and is normal for the tpye of car. I haven't driven another manual so can't be sure that they are telling the truth. It seems bvery noisy for me and strange that they make a car to make such a noise.

Any help appreciated.

This is normal but should not be to noticeable

So I've noticed a couple of things as ive started putting miles on mine. There is a vibration at around 13 mph ish which i'm presuming is the abs doing a self test - only happens after initial start and first pull away and feels like the brake pedal is vibrating.

i also have the very minor vibration - i can only notice it if i have my hand on the gear stick at the time at around 10 mph - which i've figured out is the 'gate' to allow the gear stick move all the way across to the reverse.

could it be one of these?
