Towbar Electrics

I had my genuine land rover detachable towbar fitted to my new freelander last week. It was previously fitted tony 07 my HSE and is now fitted to my 60 plate (11 my) vehicle. I have genuine twin electrics which worked fine on the old one, but don't get anything on the new one other than the permanent live feed through the supplementary socket.
The fitter who installed it for me, had a Westfalia handheld diagnostic tool, but couldn't get things to work.
I checked with Dan at Duckworth regarding comparability of the old electrics with the new car, but other than just saying that my new car is right on the change point as far as part numbers are concerned, he didn't see any problems with figment.
Is it just a case of getting my local dealership to code it to make it work.

Have you checked F11 is installed in the rear fusebox that feeds the trailer module.

I do remember the fitter saying he'd installed a couple of extra fuses.
I've not had a chance to look since it was fitted last Monday, and I've been away on holiday since then.
I shall have a look this week since I'm now back home.

What size fuse should be fitted in F11 fuse holder?

I'm going to be installing a tow bar in my in-law's fl2 next week, the mechanical side is straight forward to me, electrics not so much.

I have played with a diagnosic tool before too, with good results. I would sooner take the dealer charge and put it to a diagnostic tool that could do things like activate the towing electrics, and reset service intervals as we do our own servicing. Probably won't need to do much more than that though.

I did come across the LYNX system on paddocks, as well as the hawckeye, just wondering what else is available.
