Take it back to the Dealer and tell them to correctly align the steering wheel. It's not too difficult to see if the steering wheel is set correctly, just centre the wheels and check the Land Rover badge on the steering wheel. If it is level then the wheels are correctly set up if it's not level then the wheels need to be adjusted. |

If you adjust the steering to get the wheel straight, you will have more lock on one side than the other. They have more than likely disconnected the steering shaft spline when lowering the subframe to get gearbox out and not reconnected in the same place. A |

I had this when my rear oil seal was done.... practically all the drive was dropped out including the drive shafts.

When done by the book, yes. In fact, they dismantle half the car, drain the air con and power steering, etc. Quick it's not. |

I seem to remember when I read the section on Topix that there are jig locator dowel pins to align the subframe before you finally screw up the securing bolts.

If they dropped the subframe they had probably disconnected the steering column somewhere along the line. As I said earlier, it's probably that they didn't align when refitting. Only needs to be out a spline or two to make the steering wheel off-centre. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Hi all, I have had the same slight steering wheel mis-alignment coupled with some vibration at 1700 rpm.
