I have had both, the TD4 and two SD4's, the SD4 gives you more BHP (power) but the torque remains the same so more grunt low down the revs will not really be noticeable, what would be is that grunt lasting longer because of the increase in power so mid to top will be better. |

I have just had my Car Superchipped and I am very pleased with the result. The major benefits seem to be a smoother gear change and power transition, fuel improved by about 2 mpg, more grunt at the bottom end which seems to maintain itself for longer. I would definitely recommend this mod. Ralph

You need your SD4 looking at. I have found the difference to be like night and day. The SD4 is a lot stronger, and is quicker mid range than my old bluefined TD4. After having a 13 reg as a loan car I wondered why it was so much better than my TD4. I had not realised the new spec so that has ruined my upgrade plan as I now HAVE to get an SD4 not TD4. Also the interior toys and switch gear are more uniform from across the range of cars. |

Did the Bluefin come ready loaded? When I got mine, I had to download the cars map and then upload it to Superchips who modified it and sent it back at which point I downloaded it off the PC and then uploaded it to the car. Big difference!! |

no, don't think it came loaded, it was supposed to connect to LR, and download existing map, which it couldn't do:( |

The error code indicates a download problem. Disconnect the Bluefin from the OBD port, turn the ignition off. Turn ignition on (hold the button down for 3 - 4 seconds) and reconnect the Bluefin. Make sure the plug makes a good contact with the OBD port, it can be a bit loose. Try again. You have the same model as me so it should work. |
