Does anyone know what these are off ?

Hi, wondering if you can help,

When I go my freelander back from the main dealer after having a new clutch fitted under warranty i was / still am concerned about the amount of clear oil that was on the back edge of the belly plate / cross member. To get a closer look I removed the belly plate and the two plastic items fell out as shown below. Keys in picture just to give a scale on things.

Anyone know what they are ?

Also the underside of the gearbox was completely wet with oil. I have completely dried it off and will inspect again in the morning once the car has been run

Any thoughts would be helpful

Many thanks

Neil.

I notice that the D shaped bit has part numbers, had the rind cap also got numbers?
.
Two thoughts
1/. Give the numbers to Dan at Duckworths, he should be able to give you a description and location.
2/. On the mouldings will also be a year and month possibly in numbered circles.
Now take any plastic parts of your car and they also will be marked with year and month. I guess as your car is new that that a spare part fitted may be dated 2012 or 2013 or 2014 so if the year and month tally with any other dates on plastic parts of your own car then it would indicate that they've forgotten to replace it.
.
As I'm writing this and cannot view your photo at the same time, the cap might be the cap for the hydraulic clutch cylinder bleed valve.
.
Kind regards from Fred
