So, I got my new plates...

Not many in my corner of the world will get the reference, but I'm not too concerned.

You're dead lucky to be able to pick your own personalised plate. We just love our government regulations here in the UK so have to stick to boringly similar formulaic identifiers. Mind you, it does mean that you can date a car/bike and see where it's from if you know the coding. Helps our dear old policemen too with their ANPR machines to keep their Big-Brotherly eyes on us!

At least they haven't got round to making us register our caravans and/or trailers separately like they need to in France.

(Memo to CG - as a farmer you are, of course, wondering what we're on about.......... Whistle Thumbs Up ) Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
Tricia's - 2006 Royal Blue Beetle Cabriolet Auto
Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black
Ours - 2007 White Bailey Pageant Champagne

England 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

As above wish we could do that, saw one on the Disco forum a guy who had emigrated to the USA and he had BRIT 4X4, now that's cool. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak.

Stop global winging.

Growing up, I had a friend who was the typical garage-band kind of guy - skateboards, bass guitar, long hair, etc. He had a beat-up old Ford Thunderbird with the license plate:
"AGAINST"

His response when the inevitable "What are you against" question was delivered:
"Whatcha got?"

I have absolutely no idea what it means. Please, explain! Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

Yes - got that bit, but I dont see the connection. It is different letters so not an anagram. Maybe something from a film I've never seen. Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!

It's just a little Doctor Who quip is all! Nothing Earth-shattering or monumental. It just makes me smile to look in the rear view and see one of two people eyeing the plate:
1) People sounding it out and looking befuddled
2) People grinning like maniacs

I will be option 1) then.

I was begining to wonder if you were perhaps Québécois? Everyone can spread it - Anyone can catch it. Stay home - the life you save can be your own!
