Finally bit the bullet and have had the job done - replaced the DMF (with another DMF), clutch and slave cylinder plus service and MOT. This was all done by Elams from whom I bought the FL2 originally. Fortunately they took pity on me and made a contribution to the bill but I still had to pay out just short of £1,000

Not to generous with their contribution imho, but you contributed £1000, there are a few posts on here where a clutch has been replaced for £700 and £1100 for Clutch and DMF. So looks like they have given you a service.

Sorry to jump on this interesting topic, but anyone know if replacing the DMF would be considered a warranty job? 2008 FL2 TD4 XS Zermatt Silver, Manual
