My wiper rain sensor and intermittent wipers don't seem to be working as they should (ex- windscreen change). The fuse is ok and the sensor is clipped in place. If I touch the sensor from inside the car it bursts into life. Could it be that thou' the sensor is clipped into place it isn't tight enough on the glass? Also on the mirror arm there is another sensor (pad) with a single wire that touches the screen, does anyone know what this is please? Has anyone else had these sort of problems? Thanks |

rain sensor and automatic headlight sensor are both mounted on the rear view mirror.

Many thanks for your reply. All fittings are secure, but alas still playing up. It's strange that if I just touch the sensor it works? I would be interested to know what the single item is that is located to the left of the mirror support and is up against the windscreen? Perhaps a new sensor is required? I wonder how much they cost? |

Problem often occurs when a non-OEM windscreen is used as the replacement. I'd go back to whoever did the replacement and get them to fit the sensors properly or replace the replacement with a genuine OEM windscreen. Other problem that occurs is the rear view mirror falling off as it doesn't like sticking to non-OEM windscreens. |
