Renewal time again with Landrover Insurance, this time with a MY63 SD4 XS and it's gone down by just over £6 to £292.00 plus £50 x 2 for my 6 speed points, happy with that.

I've gone with hastings mines a 2007 xs and the policy is £230 Fully comp, so was well happy with that it's about £50 cheaper than my old D2.

I could have got cheaper insurance by going with Hastings or one of the companies that they administer that show up in the comparison sites around the same price, but I didn't because I'd rather steer clear of Hastings.

I've been with Adrian Flux now for 5 years and I always shop around each year but they do and like other insurance companies try it on. This year renewal Was £430. Each year I tell them I'm not paying that, they always come back with a better or matching price. So this year they came back with £240 fully comp.

I called Land rover uk insurance services today, a lengthy chat while filling out the form with a very polite chap, policy would include non competitive off road leisure activities only to be told after price retrieval that I could NOT be insured due to my postal code/location Big Cry .
UNBELIEVABLE since there is a Land rover dealer 4 miles up the road Confused

How can you have a Liverpool post code when you say you live on the Wirral which has Chester post codes?

My insurance with Land Rover is (Without digging the docs) is approx. £420.00 but as you get older your insurance premiums increase again. Just hope they do not rise to teenager levels.

Would also point out that LR Insurance are the only company (to my knowledge) will only use Genuine LR parts to repair your vehicle in the case of an RTA.

They also provide cover for off road (How could they not being Land Rover) which in my case is essential for officiating on Forest Car rally's.

Must live in a dodgy area Whistle

I'm with LRI and considering moving policies, one of the disco4 members had his car stolen and the open comments of the claims people was, if your car is found and there are any modifications not disclosed your cover will be void, if the V5 is in the car your cover with be void Rolling Eyes

Might have been correct, but how about showing compassion, get the claim reported THEN worry about the ifs and buts

Mines just gone UP with Hastings with no changes to my details, modifications or penalty points - they are not on my Christmas card list anymore.

But my new friends at the AA are - £90 cheaper and includes all the extras including uninsured driver collision NCB protection.

I tried forum sponsor A-Plan, £560 for minimal cover Rolling with laughter - I think not!! MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons
