Alarm sounds when I lock the car

Freelander 2 XS 2007
When I lock the car using the fob the Alarm sounds and no lights flash as they normally do.
Looks like the alarm is armed as the red dash light flashes once per second, any ideas folks?

Not a door or tailgate open, that was the first thing that I did, check them, it started after I had the
Bonnet up to fill my screen wash and top up with oil, just wondering if it could be the micros witch
On the bonnet lock?
Will have a look at the tailgate

It's the horn that sounds if a door or the tailgate is not closed properly, this is an audible activation of the alarm
That occurs, but no lights flashing
