I'm looking for recommendations for a decent alarm clock / radio to replace the current PURE unit which, although inexpensive, is very disappointing ... sound quality is rubbish - very thin, weedy, and the item is cheap and plasticy.

I want a compact, FM (DAB optional), alarm clock, dimmable display / auto-dimming, ability to be woken by alarm or radio, a quality brand, up to �100.
