Have you checked the guides? its probably got the wrong type of leaf or something stuck in it? |

i'll check... but it'll definitely be a genuine LR leaf if I find one. Am I reading too much into this or is there actually a sensor to check for debris so it doesn't close on it? |

Month or so ago I visited main dealer with a view to a new Freelander. Showroom model had sunroof. Questioned the wisdom of buying a Land Rover with one of those (my previous have been Defenders) on the basis that they are bound to leak. Salesman confided that they have lots brought in with jammed sunroof due to under use (understandable). Perhaps get into the habit of opening it from time to time? Hope that is helpful.

Thanks DrT, I'll definitely be doing a monthly check but still need to know if there is a manual way of closing should the roof get stuck in an open position. I fear there isn't as I'm sure someone would have commented |

I suspect that you are correct, but haven't scrutinised the handbook in this respect as I opted for an SD4 XS, on the basis that I liked many of the HSE extras but not the sunroof. Flighty and temperamental things ..... Current: 2013 SD4 XS
