Front and rear recovery points are rated at 2 1/2 times the vehicle weight. OE towbar is rated to 2.0 tonnes. |

Most 4x4 clubs assume factory fit recovery points are actually tie downs and not sufficient.

..... - the front and rear points on the Freelander are strong enough for anything you're going to get into unless you're a maniac who thinks they can follow a lifted Disco on M/Ts into a mud run!
