Details for the 2015MY Freelander 2!

Highlights

HSE Lux dropped and replaced by the HSE Luxury, spec pretty much the same. They are just adding the HSE Luxury Badge to the boot instead of TD4 HSE or SD4 HSE. But apparently going to be called the Metropolis for the UK and Russia.

mmmmmmm it is the same HSE Luxury badge I have had fitted for the past 3 years on my old car and also this one!!

The HSE Lux was I think a UK only model, but the HSE Luxury will be available in all Countries.

New spec for XS - Dark Atlas finish to the grill and side vents and new interior colours

New Headlights across the range.

Park Assist standard across the range

Dynamic Exterior Pack for HSE Luxury and XS (Not the bodykit)

HSE Luxury - Bright Atlas Finish for the side vents and grill, same as now I believe. New 19" sparkle finish wheels replace the diamond turned wheels.

XS - 17" Anthracite Alloys, fully colour coded bumpers and door cappings, whether it is TD4 or SD4. Part Leather seats with Dinamica Centres inc electric adjustment, power lumbar and front and rear arm rests.

New 'upgrade' pack is available for the XS, which includes 380w Meridian 11 Speaker Stereo, Blue Tooth, Nav auto wipers and lights, climate etc.

The New Dynamic Exterior Pack for HSE Luxury and XS

This includes the following :-

Rear Spoiler
Bright Exhaust Finishers (Does this mean twin exhausts at last??????)
Gloss Black grill and side vents, Bonnet and tailgate scripts, what ever 'scripts' mean
19" New Style Gloss Black 19" Alloys
Two tone Dynamic Leather trim in different colours
Soft touch front A bar - Already on the Accessories list since 2010

New for all models

Detail change for the front headlights - The clear reflector at the bottom under the indicator is now gloss black.
Rear Parking Assist standard.

So it looks more like simple alterations to spec more than anything.

Cheers for the update Mav, I couldn't get anything from anyone when I was up at GDEC last week regarding the MY2015. They were all more interested in tearing a Skoda Yeti down for some reason....

Do you happen to know if it will carry Land Rover on the Bonnet for 2015? Foraging near Gaydon....

When I worked in the computer business the tactic when a new model was known to be imminent was to add a load of "features" on to the existing models to keep the sales going.

Not at all. The Freelander replacement was not going to hit the Show rooms until the 2nd half of 2015 anyway, September 2015 what I believe in readiness for the 2016MY.

It was just the doubters on here that didnt beleive it was still 18 months away.

From what I understand, we should see the new car in concept form either at the end of 2014 or more likely early 2015. With Pictures etc of the production car next summer in readiness for Launch.

It is all being tied in with the new engines. Jaguar will Launch the new 3-Series rival in March/April next year, with the car making an appearence towards the end of this year. This will be the first car to get the new engines.

The new Jag will be built at the Land Rover plant at Solihull, the Freelander replacement will be the second car to get the new engines.

Then the Evoque is due a Major Facelift towards the back end of 2015 and the new engines will then be included in the Evoque. There was talk of the Evoque getting the new engines as early as this year, but it will all be tied up with the Facelift. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Your right. Kind of makes sense though. If they officially have the name HSE Luxury on other models in all the Countries, then why have a different name like HSE Lux here.

Keeps everything on a level pegging.
