I have this problem and mentioned it to my LR Main Dealer who said that they don't see many occurrences. I suspect that is because once out of warranty a lot of people are fixing this themselves - it happened on mine about a month after the warranty expired. I suspect that this is a much bigger problem than LR are aware of for this reason. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

It's either the foam outer seal that is affected by something........or........they forget to order a tiny 'o' ring that seals the washer pipe internally to the nozzle inside the light.

New light fitted now. (They just resealed it last time and was ok for about a month). Car is only 5 months old so want to get sorted early on. Dealer very apologetic though . Hopefully the rain deluges have finished anyway! |

On mine I am pretty sure that it is the foam seal which I do not think is separately available. Anyway, I have silicone it now so hopefully it will be ok for a bit. Crappy design imho. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

I guess that either some other car manufacturer has got the 'rear brake light up against the rear window' patent because the FL2 design is so poor it can't have been done like that on purpose - unless the Marketing or Design Department forced it through for aesthetic reasons. My 2002 BMW has the rear brake light up against the inside of the rear window as does my mum's 1997 Peugeot ! FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green
