Dr Martens

Just bought a new pair for work. I work in an office but I like a comfy pair of shoes and they pick up scuffs in the filing room and so on plus I walk into town sometimes and frankly, ordinary shoes would drop to bits quickly.

I've had a pair of docs virtually the same as this new pair for 4 years and they are just looking ready to retire now.

Can't fault docs IMO: http://uk.drmartens.com/uk/Mens/Mens-Shoes...p/10078001

I paid a bit less than the price on the link Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I wear these http://uk.drmartens.com/uk/Industrial/Indu...p/10929201 because they seem to fit me well but they don't last long - I get 6 months out of them if I'm lucky before the tread has worn off. The quality of DM's seems to have gone down since they moved to China. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

England 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Zermatt Silver

I take a size 13 shoe and the traditional shoe doc marten has been my sole shoe of choice of over 10 years now.

But I have noticed a big drop in quality in the last couple of years. Apparently they have shipped their manufacturing from China to Taiwan and quality has dropped!!!!

But also they are supposed to have started manufacture in UK again but they cost a lot more!!!!

yep I think that only the traditional Hi top boots are UK made, and around 160 quid, I was lucky enough to get 3 pairs of DM suede " Steve McQueen style desert boots" from TKMaxx for 35 pounds a pair a couple of years ago and one pair is still unworn, plus I bought a UK made pair of New old Stock oiled brown leather shoes about 15 years old on an online auction site for around 60 quid, I love docs , had my first pair on my scooter at 16 and 42 years later they are still the most comfy things to wear. 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
