60K Service prices in the West Midlands

I am due a 60K service shortly so I priced around 6 dealers in the West Midlands area. I asked them all for their very best price and the results are as follows:-

Guy Salmon Stratford - £411.03
Listers Droitwich - £380.00
Stratstone Stourbridge - £463.00
Guy Salmon Coventry - £547 then when queried, reduced to £461. Could match £380 only after being told of lowest quote.
Stafford Land Rover - £460 Could match £380 only after being told of lowest quote.
Landrover Shirley - No reply after 2 days.

Listers Droitwich were the most professional, asking for my registration before quotation to ensure they had the correct variant priced. They were also the most competitive by quite a margin so I am booked in with them.

I didn't entertain any of the price matching offers as I had e-mailed all of the dealers the same message and they didn't offer a better price initially.

I hope this helps anyone in the surrounding area looking for servicing. I am in no way connected to any of the dealers, I just wanted a good price on servicing.

Surprised Shirley never got back to you - they've been really good in the 9 months I've been using them for both the purchase and any warranty snags Shocked MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

England 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 XS Auto Orkney Grey

It's good to know that Listers quoted a reasonable price from the start. They recently took over Hereford LR and the previous owners were expensive on servicing so I had been using an independant specialist for the 'old' GS.

I got the 'new' XS from Listers but first service isn't due until July so I'll see what they quote then.

Austin, were you satisfied with their servicing? The XS wasn't very well checked before I collected it as the rear nearside tyre was at 10psi when I got it home!!!! GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver
LONG GONE - '55 Norton Dominator 99 SS cafe racer

Austin,

I contacted iautouk after they posted on here a short while ago that they'd opened a new franchise, ironically, just down the road from Stratstone Shirley.

Communication so far has been excellent - always answer the phone and email and get you answers.
They quoted a 30,000 mile service - £299 - Including engine oil, oil filter, pollen/cabin filter, air filter, fuel filter, brake fluid and full comprehensive inspection. I queried fault code resets and software updates and they can do all this as well, apparently.

Service includes a wash & vac and a stamp in your service book. All their work carries a 2 YEAR WARRANTY for complete peace of mind - their words not mine.

I know your after a 60,000 mile service but might be worth giving them a call. Not heard of anyone on here using them yet but only a matter of time I suppose. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

Apologies, I had issues with logging on to the forum so I'm only answering now.
The service went ok as far as I could tell. The staff were courteous and efficient. Parking is a nightmare though!!
Now that you mention your XS not being very well checked over, I do remember they didn't spot the worn rear wiper blade nor the wheel arch expanding edge protectors. Otherwise, everything was done and the book stamped. I paid 375 or thereabouts which I still think is taking the p!ss for a service.

That's good to know Dave, thanks for that.
