It has been said from time to time that LR original blades use a different, softer, rubber compound. This could explain their better performance, but might also make them wear quicker.

Fitted a set of Goodyear Assurance wiper blades a week ago now, purchased from Costco - less than a fiver for each one. For that price I thought I'd give them a shot and they were on special offer as well. Was in there again last night and there's still plenty left.

Goodyear Assurance flat or “beam” style wiper blades made in USA featuring SilentArmor Technology and ResponsEdgeTechnology for maximum, all-season, wiping power.  Assurance wiper blades are packaged with unique connectors to fit the latest OE designs along with hook and side pin applications.  Available in sizes 14” through 28”.

No complaints yet with them and had plenty of rain to test them with; no lifting at motorway speeds, judder or missed areas of wipe. Bit fiddly to fit but once you've done the first one the second I easy.

5 ltrs of Preston screen wash for a fiver as well so got a couple of those too. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

I got the same Dave, my only gripe is the fitment isn't as flush as the LR ones I replaced

Admittedly, they do look a bit chunky once fitted but so far, work well as intended and at a fraction of the cost from dealer or motor spares shops.

My daughter got a set as well for her Ka - now imagine what THEY look like on her tiny windscreen!! But shes happy enough that she can now see clearly in the rain. Early birthday present for her - that went down well with her - NOT Rolling with laughter MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

Re: Wiper blades?

Just an update on the stealth blades, I fitted onto my wife's fl2 around 10 weeks ago.
They've been excellent. In my opinion, seem a stronger mechanism than the previous bosch flat blades fitted. Work very well in all rain conditions, without streaks or noise.
Best to watch the utube fitting video first. Landy has now gone.
