Bizarre Problem - radio interference

Sometime in the last couple of months, two apparently unrelated problems appeared.

The first wouldn't affect most people - poor reception of amateur band 2m signals. The second would: both FM and DAB dropping out randomly at points where I could previously get a clear signal.

After lots of effort to isolate the problem, I was driving to work on Monday morning, and chatting away to another radio amateur when I noticed my Road Angel hadn't powered up. A quick nudge of the power adaptor turned it back on -- and killed the radio reception straight away.

A bit more experimentation showed that the 12v to USB adaptor they supplied with the device was the cause of the problem. Power the Road Angel from their adaptor, and radio problems ensue. Unplug it, and plug the Road Angel into the 'other' USB adaptor, and all works fine.

They're sending me a different USB adaptor, but this kind of thing shouldn't happen in the first place.

I'm sharing this here as much for reference for anyone else with radio problems as anything else. 2011 MY SD4 HSE + planning some interesting stuff
