See this thread for information on how to reset the service indicator on pre-2013 (or is it 2011?) cars:

the service indicator is just a mileage or time indicator, it will not put it in to limp mode

Got it on a fault code reader today and the last fault was a fuel pressure fault which they recon is down to the dealer not replacing the fuel filter on the service. This is getting done tomorrow although the car is running perfect today. Also picked up a recurring fault that even after reset comes straight back. Turbo solenoid open which they recon means the turbo is always boosting which can cause big damage. Hole new turbo needed |

Ah - now thats interesting. On the particularly cold mornings recently, I had a spurious error pop up which seemed to point towards the EGR system valves / solenoids, it self cleared, but logged as a previous error when plugged into the diagnostics. I wonder if the whole turbo related system is quite voltage sensitive. A bit like automatic gearbox are generally the first device on the RR to show errors when voltages start dropping. |
