I should never have sat in it!!!

After 4 fantastic Freelander years, I thought I would upgrade to the MY13. Unfortunately, the one I went to view wasn't quite right and as I walked back to my car I passed this stunning 10 plate RRS. The dealer offered to show me around and I made the mistake of sitting in it. Yep, I pick it up on Saturday!
Completely impractical, but, sometimes you just have to go with your heart...

Well done Wizking, I was to try one two weeks back but the stealer wanted my car for nothing, reckoned I was in negative equity with the finance, so a wait for me.
Fantastic cars though, I look forward to hearing how you get on Thumbs Up

I currently drive around in the most expensive pair of wellies I've ever bought. We went to Cornwall Farmers outside Truro to get two pairs of Hunters two years ago, called in the local LR dealer on the way home just for a look at the Freelander............... Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Nice one. I enjoy stories like this Thumbs Up

Reminds me of the time I test drove a Mitsubishi Ralliart Colt. Came back to dealer to find their Lancer Evolution IX demo. I said something along the line of wanting one of these cars one day, so they chucked me the keys and said "have a go". Alas, I bought the Evo instead Razz

United Kingdom 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Santorini Black

We had the most expensive ever milkshake and coffee from McDonalds a year ago. Thats their carpark in the background of my avatar pic, taken on the day we picked it up.

Just so happens there is a LR main dealer next to it on the A45 Coventry Road, anyone living in and around Solihull will know exactly where I mean - and there was snow on the ground.....I'll just have a quick look I thought, see what all the fuss is about with this brand.

The rest is history. Sometimes bitter sweet but always brings a smile to my face when Im driving it. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons

We make something of a habit of this sort of thing! Back in the 80s we had a Citroen LNA. Went into Odlum's dealership for a new wing mirror on a Saturday morning. Kevin said there was no-one in parts but have a look at this.......

Came away with a bright red BX Estate (complete with two wing mirrors). Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto
Tricia's - 2006 Royal Blue Beetle Cabriolet Auto
Mine - 2014 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport Matt Black

Its a lovely car, great fun to drive and the engine sounds superb and performs fantastically. To be honest, after 4 years with the a FL2 it had a lot to live up to, and if it's half as good in the Snow I will be happy.

I know it's the wrong site but if anyone is interested here's a couple of pictures;
