Tbh Mav one thing I did not notice till recently was the price they had quoted for electrics, don't know where I stand now as I have placed a deposit which was months back for the vehicle. So they could just say this is the agreed price. They should only charge you for the price of the parts plus labour. I would go in and see their parts department and confirm prices.

If they come back and say the electrics are still nearly £300, let me know and I'll get you the part number. Interesting .... I've been quoted a price of 800 euros excl. VAT and fitting, for a towbar on a brand new MY2014.
I will take this info back to the dealer and will ask to verify.

I think the costs of 2013> tow bar electrics have caught out a lot of dealers with their much lower cost.
