Is the spec above what he currently has, as it looks a standard HSE spec for a 2010:?: |

That's all standard HSE spec isn't it. Can't see any 'extras' there. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

2010 MY would be a TD4 160 bhp. The 150 bhp didn't appear until 2011 MY.

Thanks for the replys so far, it is a 60 plate 2010 HSE. I have looked on the net a bit already and thought it looks pretty standard to me as well. Is it possible if the dealer had it, that it's a 2011 MY but pre registered. What is the significance of the different power engines?

No, can't be a pre registered MY11 in Stornoway Grey, Stornoway finished partly through MY10 because of the Tsunami in Japan.

So is it likely he has been led up the garden path a bit and the dealer has palmed him off with an older car?

60 plate could have been either a 2010MY 160 bhp or a 2011MY 150bhp. The MY11 went on sale in late September 2010 but there were still lots of 10MY vehicles being registered particularly at the start of the month. Easy way to tell is the 11MY will have the full width chrome strip on the rear door while the 10MY had the smaller dark grey strip. |

Thanks for explaining the paint issue, quite interesting. The spec list I posted came from L/R customer services last week. I just want to know and understand exactly what MY spec this car is and everything about it. Sorry if I am being a bit blonde, but I know nothing about Freelanders. |

If you subscribe into Topix, you can put the VIN in and it will give you the spec that it came out of Halewood with.

Anyone with the VIN can register for free, this gets you the build info but not much more without payment. |

The easiest way would be to see what the optional extras were available for the vehicle (spec, year etc) and check to see if they're fitted.
