Modern inlet systems are so good that the likes of K&N filters and induction systems make no difference and has been shown on "Myth busters" to actually reduce flow in some cases.

I used to use them in the olden days of carbs and non-computer designed components but not now. Jules

I upgraded my 2.2 TD with Racechip and K&N air filter. If you are planning to chip-tune or remap your engine, high flow filter is a must.
Hwy average is 40 MPG, city around 33, but can go down to 30 if I put my foot down and use all of 200+ bph provided by Racechip.
