Snow chains Spikes-Spiders versus Jeko Belts

Hello,

I've watched the forum topics but questions remain
http://www.freel2.com/forum/search.php?sea...rch_time=0

I sometimes drive on snow road (in the Pyrenees).

Police can obliged you to chain the car. So I hesitate between "Snow chains Spikes- Spiders " or " Jeko Belts " .

I read some reviews on chains types " Spikes- Spiders" which are not very favorable over time ( problem strength plastics and efficiency).

Jeko belts not to much user feedback .

For those who know , what is your position on this topic?

My LR Freelander 2 is 225/65/R17 tire size

I currently have Michelin tires " mud + snow" latutide are versatile but not specialized Alpine .

thank you in advance

I have only used my Spike Spiders a couple of times, just for trial more than need, so the longevity is something I can't comment on. I like them because they are so easy to attach, literally seconds (once face plate has been attached and left on) and the traction was vastly improved.

Nothing beats proper snow tyres...
My M+S don't even get close to where my snow tyres get me to.
Every year in december i swop tyres and fit my snow set - michelin
In march i swop back to my M+S
Thumbs Up

I still have not bought snow chains or belts because I am not decided.

So I still drive with my M + S.

just for fun, here are the weather conditions this morning that I found in the Pyrenees. Not to much snow, the M + S drive without problem.

In some places I activate the system terrain response (snow program) and no problems encountered.

Certainly as you say Donnus nothing will be better than the snow tires.

I realised that snow tyres were essential when in 2008 i was battling with my 4x4 diff lock Censored quadradrive on M+S tyres.. When a simple ford focus passed me easily on his winter tyres !
