Dynamic Bumper

This is now the second dynamic that I have seen with the sockets fitted in the bumper like a disco. As far as I'm aware the bumper doesn't have a removeable section Question Is it just a case a making a cut out?

That seems a bit harsh, i have been to my local towbar dealer and Witter do a towbar that does not need the bumper cutting.

Nope! This is being sold by an LR dealer and so was the other one that I had seen! If there was a tow eye cover like the disco, it would look good as it hides the electrics. I'm shocked as someone would do this to a car, it is bad enough knowing that the lower part has to be cut. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Hiya, i have just fitted a tow bar to my Dynamic, no holes cutting all civilized, no hands ripped to shreds! it took hour and half to fit with help of a friend and all bolts torqued up to boots as well.

this was the bar i got from fleabay which seemed to be the same as the one fitted to my friends FR2 HSE, it is a witter R40 bar. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...1257932283

LR Nut no need for silly bumper cuts like that one above. I just need to get electrics sorted now. Gazza

Your worrying about nothing.

That top picture is shown with the normal bracket for the electric plugs. Some one could not be arsed to buy the adaptor plate to move the plugs. So they have cut a big section out.

If you buy the adaptor plate, you don't need to cut the face of the rear skirt. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Gaz looking good could do with a wash however Laughing I've opted for a fixed towbar with twin electrics costing £800.00 Shocked picking up the car on the 1st March so not long left now Thumbs Up As the weather is pretty grim just getting the dealer to fit towbar even though I could have got it all done cheaper myself buying the genuine one but didn't fancy faffing about in the cold taking the bumper off to trim it and then reprogramming the ecu at the dealers. (Been told that MY14 no longer requires this, not sure how true this is however) Mav I'm not worrying mate Laughing just a bit shocked that a dealer is happy to sell a relatively new vehicle like this Rolling Eyes MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

The mud flaps are still on, just the way pictures taken. It doesnt take long for the car to get dirty working round farms and over the chase/off road! £800 thats alot of money, the pllace i have had my last 2 bars fitted want £400 for a witter bar and all electrics working. Dont know how they charge so much.

bet your getting exicted now!

£800 is a rip off.

LR 13 pin electrics for the 2013MY (2014is 100% the same) retail at £70 + VAT part number LVPLFT0106
LR 12N and 12S electrics retail at about £80/£90 + VAT I just sold mine for £35.
LR fixed towbar retails at £221.67 + VAT part Number LLR007479
LR adaptor plate for the electrics on the Dynamic retails at £37.5 part number LLR004084 (this was the 13 pin, not sure if the twin uses the same adaptor bracket)

There is no programming required. It is simply plug and play. There is no control module to programme. The 2013MY> has a simple grey plug located on the left hand side just under the boot trim. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Cheers for the price brake down Thumbs Up similar prices to what I had. I will be querying their price for the electrics as triple the amount is very high. I appreciate every company has to make a profit but x3 is a bit much Rolling Eyes MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

To be fair to your dealer, they may be assuming that the 2013 electrics are a similar price to the pre2013 cars.

The older cars had the looms, control box's etc. The 2013> Cars are simply a loom with a plug on the end. So a fraction of the price. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
