I have noticed on my 2008 FL2 that sometimes, if I press the fob to unlock the doors, but don't enter the car for a few minutes, it locks itself. This may be a security reason, but what if I opened the car doors, left the key fop on the seat etc and then went back outside the vehicle. Would it lock with my fob inside?

It won't relock itself if you open any of the doors, it only relocks if you unlock it and do not open any doors within two minutes.
