it'll be the 150hp newer engine. Sounds like its gone a step backwards but its more evonomical and has more torque than the previous one. |

If it is a MY 10 then it will have a 160 bhp TD4 engine. The change to 150bhp came with MY11 which went on sale in September 2010. |

I have a MY2010 TD4.e, which I thought was the standard engine from 2010 onwards, and I also thought it was 150 bhp. I'm confused! |

2010 is a wonderfully confusing manufacturing year for Freelanders. Most of the year would have been pre facelift cars without DPF and are rated at 158 bhp.

To tell the difference look at Freelanders say 2007 - 2009 then look at a freely say 2012/3.

In simple terms, the pre-facelift cars had the short boot handle.

If you have the short boot handle and the front bumper and grill as one piece then it is the 160bhp pre-facelift. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

I remember checking on Topix ages ago about my own engine size, 118 KW which is 160 BHP. I had a door latch replaced and the work note had the car down as a 150BHP engine.
