Satnav co-ordinates

I know you can choose a location using post codes and gps co-ordinates.
But can you use (46.00032, 3.00421) etc. Haven't got a clue what they
are called, or where/how they are arrived at?
(Obviosly, I mean can you input them into satnav) 2013 Dynamic Santorini black

United Kingdom

They are just latitude and longitude coordinates. On a TomTom you can just enter them under 'coordinates' surprisingly! The figures you give are on the D19 smack in the middle of France. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Try this site.

http://www.nearby.org.uk/

It can convert most things to whatever you want. In the UK I find that most map references usually have a post code within 0.5km of the coordinates and also you can bring up Streetmap.com which will show the postcode location and you can usually then find the exact location you are looking for.

Stayed at Coombe Abbey in Coventry last week for the night and I thought I'd use the Sat Nav to get there - wrong!!!!!!

No matter what I entered in to the post code search, address search, POI search etc. it constantly directed me to the heart of Coventry City Centre. Coombe Abbey is located in a country park for those that don't know (Its even called a Country Park on the POI search spookily enough) so navigating the Coventry ring road, junctions and roundabouts at rush hour and ending up at some office block as my "Destination Reached" when I should have been out in the sticks was a bit of a crap start to the evening. Something definitely wrong with that particular part of the Sat Nav programming. MY2010 TD4 HSE Santorini Black, 19" Alloys, Almond Leather, Lux Pack, Rear Spoiler, Adaptive Xenons
