Amazing I took the vehicle for service which was due and asked them to check the power steering problems. In shock because they want to replace the power steering rack and pump in addition to replacing the fluid and reservoir. The car is out of warranty.

thank god for the forum I found the post as a guest , now a member , fixed my power steering problem following the procedure in http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic8893.html, too late at the weekend to get a new reservoir , back fushed the old one out and washed out , this only give me a little bit better steering ordered a new reservoir from Hunters Norwich on ebay, arrived within 24 hours , a quick fit tonight, with only a partial oil drain an HEY PRESTO power steering back to normal and no whine ( apart from the wife "how much did you spend ") |
