Parking sensors are not working

I just took delivery of my Sumatra Black TD4 HSE last Friday. What a car !! Everything works just fine, except for the parking sensors. Nor front or rear sensors work. When I push the button in the cabin, nothing happens. According to the manual, you can switch off the front sensors and then the LED in the switch stays alight. Can this problem be related to the fact that I had a removable towing hook installed ?
I will take the car back to the dealer asap. Otherwise, a great car, although I had some mixed feelings when I left my 'old' FL1 at the dealer"s yard.
Thanks !

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Stornoway Grey

My car was delivered at the beginning of January and had exactly the same problem. There is "an electronic unit" somewhere in the car that controls these. In mine it had to be replaced. Since then they have worked flawlessly.
I am surprised that the problem has persisted into March though.
